taiHENkaku Beta 7 released

Mr yifanlu updated taiHENkaku to beta7 and changes major toolchain which should be noted by developers. Here are the changes of taiHENkaku Beta 7

Changelog for taiHENkaku Beta 7
■ Install payload has been compressed decreasing download sizes by 60%
molecularShell now supports refreshing taiHEN config.txt without rebooting (only for user plugins and only works in non-safe mode; press Start to see the option)
■ molecularShell now has full ux0 access again when unsafe homebrew is enabled (must quit and reopen to see changes)
■ Re-enabled shell patches for version spoofing. This does not enable PSN but it should prevent CMA update prompts provided you set the spoof version to 3.63.

VitaShell 1.43 and taiHENkaku Beta 5 updated

VitaShell 1.43 updated which aims at the new feature of taiHENkaku Beta 5. It can reload the config.txt file for taiHENkaku without rebooting your console. If you want to update your vitaShell to 1.43, please download VitaShell 1.43.vpk and install it on your PS Vita 3.60

Changelog for VitaShell 1.43
■ Added taiHEN config.txt reload option available in molecularShell.
■ Changed default HENkaku spoofed version to 3.63.
■ Fixed bug where you couldn’t exit the application.

Changelog for taiHENkaku Beta 5
■ Rewrote the kernel payload and installer. Installer should be more stable now.
■ Add ability to update HENkaku config and taiHEN config.txt without needing a reboot. VitaShell needs to be updated to use this feature though.
■ Fixed some hooking issues in taiHEN

taiHENkaku Beta4 updated

Famous developer Yifanlu just released the new beta version of taiHENkaku yesterday- taiHENkaku Beta4. As end users, there is no need to download or do something for players. The beta version fits for developers.

New Features

Fixed many bugs that cause instability, memory leaks, and crashes with hooks. Full details here.
Fixed dynarec issue resulting in many emulators including PCSX and mGBA not working.
In the HENkaku installer, you can now hold R1 to reinstall everything and reset the configuration files for taiHEN and HENkaku. This will reset your ux0:tai/config.txt in case you added a bad plugin that crashes the system.
The installer will now block the PS Button since people still are accidently hitting it.

Missing/Known Issues

PSN spoofing WILL break in a couple of days. Access might be restored at a later point, keep tuned.
Sometimes, right after successful installation, the browser will either crash or show a black screen. This is okay, just press the PS button to exit manually.
molecularShell now only shows ux0:. This is part of the move to molecularShell being a safe homebrew while VitaShell has full powers. Please install VitaShell manually to access other partitions moving forward.
If build the offline installer yourself and point it to beta.henkaku.xyz, you can use offline mode. The release builds will always point to HENkaku stable.

taiHENkaku Beta 3 updated with working VitaShell configuration and bug fixes

Mr yifanlu announced on his twitter that taiHENkaku- the new version of HENkaku has been updated to Beta 3, improved some important features and also fixed some bug further.

New Features

■ VitaShell 1.42 is updated such that HENkaku configuration works and package installation from safe homebrew works.
■ taiHENkaku now disables unsafe homebrew by default. See this PSA.
■ From now on the beta disables CRC checks on taihen.skprx and henkaku.skprx. This allows developers to replace them with their own builds for testing. This also means that a corrupt taiHENkaku installation will crash the system.

taiHENkaku Beta 2 released, fix PSN spoofing and tons of bugs

With continuous and hard working, Yifan Lu updated a more stable beta of taiHENkaku which has fixed plenty of bugs. Yifan Lu advises that the beta region is used for players and developers to test and report issues. If you are interested in testing this region, please just stay in HENkaku until a public release updates.

New Features

■ Tons of bug fixes! This should fix random crashes/freezes in installation and usage.
■ VitaShell 1.42 is integrated.
■ Plugin loading support: the parsing of ux0:tai/config.txt should be working for developers. Check out the main development portal for details on how to use the configuration and taiHEN releases for the header and stub library to link with.
■ PSN spoofing is restored but WILL break in a couple of days when Sony flips the switch to disable 3.61 access. Please download what you need now.
Version spoofing is done locally in SceSettings now. That means any website that broke because of the version spoofing text would work now.
Missing/Known Issues

■ No cleanup support, if you load TONS of plugins, you might run out of memory.

taiHENkaku and VitaShell 1.42 released

Team Molecule have updated the new version of HENkaku-taiHENkaku today. It is still in beta stage and still has some issues/bugs. Users are recommended to stay in HENkaku until a stable release comes out. Besides, taiHENkaku only supports PS Vita3.60 now.

VitaShell 1.42 has been updated which adds molecularShell/VitaShell modes. If you want to update VitaShell to v1.42, please download latest .vpk file to update it.

VitaShell 1.42 Changelog
■ Added a brand new settings menu which is accessible by pressing START (design by WesleyPolicena). This adds the ability to disable auto-update and power options have been added where you can reboot, enter standby or turn off your device.
■ Fixed local date being incorrect.
■ The name ‘molecularShell’ will now be displayed if it’s runned as molecularShell, otherwise ‘VitaShell’. This will help differentiating the two applications, as molecularShell is from now on a safe homebrew and doesn’t have the full range of features like VitaShell. Additionally in molecularShell you can see the HENkaku settings section which are hidden in VitaShell (note that both still share the same eboot.bin, only the flag is different).
