Vitamin 2.0 and VitaShell 0.95 are out

New PS Vita news. Vitamin 2.0 has been released by famous developer TheFlow. Vitamin 2.0 is the new version of TheFlow’s tool of dumping PS Vita games which can be played on PS Vita FW3.60 with Henkaku.

Vitamin 2.0 Changelog
■ Increased compatibility dramatically.
■ Added support for additional content (DLC) at ‘ux0:addcont_plain’.
■ Added possibility to choose compression level.
■ Added trial -> full patch (You can for example download Minecraft demo, dump it, and run it as full game).

VitaShell 0.95 is also out. If you have installed VitaShell 0.91 or higher version on PS Vita, your VitaShell will be updated to version 0.95 automatically. If your VitaShell is in lower version, please reboot your PS Vita and go to https://henkaku.xyz/.

VitaShell 0.95 Changelog
■ Added ability to install update files as .vpk (for Vitamin).
■ Added patch to make .vpk installation appearing as full version instead of test version.
■ Added text editor by BigBoot (WIP).
■ Added ‘More’ entry to the context menu.
■ Added ‘Install all’ feature to install all packages available in the folder (by ribbid987).
■ Added ‘Calculate SHA1’ feature by xerpia64.

Henkaku Release 5 updated

Yifanlu updated Henkaku fifth time which aims at fixing some problems with game saves and PSN spoofer. With feed back of Henkaku users, there are problems of game saves. The new update changes how PSN SN spoofer works which will solve this problem. Due to this change, update blocking feature has been removed. Please be careful to not update your console to v3.61.

Here are the changelog of Henkaku Release 5

■ Changed how PSN spoofing is done. This should fix problems a minority of users experience regarding game saves.
■ Modded vs0:shell/shell.self is not supported.
■ Removed update blocking features as a side effect of above.
■ Update to VitaShell 0.91. This is the last VitaShell update bundled into HENkaku. Please use VitaShell’s built in network update feature to update VitaShell as a standalone component.

Vitashell 0.91 updated

One day ago, developper TheFloW has released a new version of Vitashell- Vitashell 0.91. Vitashell offers manager, package installer and built-in FTP under PS Vita Henkaku.

With hard working, TheFloW updated Vitashell 0.9 and 0.91 within two days You can now download the latest Vitashell and update it on your PS Vita 3.60. Here are the changelogs

Added possibility to use specific background for file browser, hex editor, text editor, photo viewer.

Vitashell 0.91

Added automatic network update. VitaShell will now notify you when there’s a new update. You’ll then be able to download it within the VitaShell application and it will update both molecularShell and VitaShell to the newest verison.
Added text and audio file icon by littlebalup.
Updated to latest libftpvita which fixed file size string > 2GB and added APPE command.

HENkaku revision 3 supports PSN Spoofing and VHBL


HENkaku revision 3 has been released which bring many new features users expect. Now you can update your HENkaku by rebooting your PS Vita and access to https://henkaku.xyz/  in your brower.

The most important feature of this update is PSN Spoofing which enables PSN access, and you do not need to update to 3.61. Now HENkaku user can be able to access PSN and install PSP homebrew launcher on PS Vita. But Yifanlu do recommend not to access to the PSN on a Henkaku-enabled PS Vita as there might be a risk of being banned by Sony.

How to install Package Installer on PS Vita v3.60


Package Installer is an official Sony app for the PS Vita, enabling players to install official DRM free apps such as netflix which is not supposed to run on PS Vita. As we all know that Package Installer has been patched since 3.36. Now someone has found a way to install Package Installer on PS Vita.

Install Package Installer bubble on PS Vita v3.60

1. Visit henkaku.xyz or use offline installer
2. Open VitaRW on the internet; when you read 0x000000, close it.
3. Open VitaShell and press select to open a FTP server. Connect via FTP to your vita from your pc. Browse to “vs0:app” and backup NPXS10031. Extract the file that you have downloaded and copy the extracted folder in your “/app” folder.
4. If you already got the PKG Installer bubble you can already open and enjoy it. If not, please follow this guide to install it.

Cobra BlackFin supports PS Vita v3.60


On August 17, Cobra team announces that Cobra BlackFin is compatible with PS Vita v3.60 which will lead to much greater flexibility, menu system running directly on the Vita and a bunch of other exciting console side features. Users do not update PS Vita to v3.61 as it is being blocked now.

How to install and run HENkaku offline installer

Recently PS Vita exploit HENkaku is really popular and many players install it on their PS Vita 3.60. But there is a small shortcoming for HENkaku, the internet connection is necessary every time player access to HENkaku. It is a little inconvenient of player to use HENkaku when outside, right? Now, there is new firmware to run HENkaku without an internet connection. You will only need an internet connection once for the first time of installation.

HENkaku offline installer released by Xyz, one of the developper of HENkaku team. This installer is faster and much more stable then web browser exploit, according to players’ tests.

Install HENkaku offline installer

■ First, install and activate HENkaku from https://henkaku.xyz/
■ Install the offlineInstaller.vpk
■ Launch offlineInstaller bubble
■ Follow the instructions: press CROSS to install
■ (Do not delete the bubble after the exploit is installed. You should redo the installation when you have internet access to ensure that you get the latest version of HENkaku)

To run the exploit

■ Reboot your PS Vita
■ Disable Wi-Fi
■ Open Email app. If at some point it asks you to enable wifi, press “No”. If you have wifi switched on, the message list will not load.
■ If you have multiple email accounts, select “HENkaku Offline”
■ Select “Inbox”, then click on the first email
■ Wait about 10-20 seconds. You might get a “Please wait” screen multiple times. You might also get an “An error has occurred” screen multiple times. If you get any of these more than five times in a row, reboot your Vita and try again.
■ You should see the same screen as with online installation (black screen with text and molecule logo)
